- How to add a Serivce
What do you offer your clients?
Start time and duration: any service you offer that has a start time and duration, like a Dog Walk or a Grooming session, etc.. When booking this service, it will ask for a Start Time.
Start time and end time: a service that is overnight or otherwise needs a start time and end time during booking.
Add-on: an 'Add-on' cannot be booked on it's own, it can be added to a booking.
Room: useful for Boarding and Kennels type bookings. The system will keep track of when a room is booked to prevent double bookings.
Product: if you offer products, use this option. You'll be able to offer variations of products and keep track of inventory.
Choose a Name and optionally set an image for this service.
Select a services category so it's easy to find this service later.
Select pet and client capacity/limit or put 0 for no limit.
Choose to show repeating options when booking to allow service to be booked as a repeating appointment.
Select Ignore availability to ignore staff availability while booking.
Choose booking cutoff. For example, 1 day means clients can start booking for tomorrow. 1 week means clients can start booking a week ahead.
If you choose 'Custom booking times' you have the option of using start times or start labels. The difference is as follows:
Start time: a list of specific start times, like 9am, 9:15am, 9:30am, etc.
Start label: you can add starting labels and for each set the time range. For example: 'Morning' as 8am to 9am.
Price based on quantity: turn it off to charge a specific amount no matter how many pets are in an appointment.
Add a price rule for additional pets: special rate for additional pets.
Invoice calculation: Select 'Time' so the system can calculate the total amount to invoice based on appointment duration. For example, if the service is 30 minutes long, but the appointment lasts an hour, the system will automatically calculate total amount owing based on time spent. Alternatively, select 'Fixed', if you want the invoiced amount to use service price, ignoring duration of the appointment.
Charging time unit: You can set it to a specific duration in number of Hours / Minutes / Days or Nights, or you may leave it as 'Service duration'.
For example, a dog walk that's 30 minutes long can keep the 'Service duration'.
Minimum duration to charge for: you may offer a service that you charge for in 1 hour increments, but the minimum booking you accept is 3 hours.
Rounding unit: you may choose not to round at all, then the system will invoice for the exact duration of the booking (if there's 37 minutes between Checking in and Completing, that's what the client will be charged for). You also have the option to set rounding rules to match your business process.
Set Tipping and Taxes as per your business needs and preferences.
Add staff assigned to this service by typing name. During booking the system will attempt to assign this staff based on their availability.
Click on Enable Payroll to change how a workers pay is calculated.
Select Do not allow additional service added to the appointment when booking to not allow additional services added to the appointment.
Select smart fields to automate price and duration based on custom fields. Only applicable to 1 client pet appointment. To be clear, group appointments will not get special Duration or Rate automatically applied.
