Do you offer coupons to your clients—such as a 10% discount on specific services for a limited time? You can easily set minimum spend requirements, cap maximum discounts, and configure coupons to fit your service business.

Coupons for service bookings must be applied at the time of booking. If the appointment has not yet been invoiced, the coupon details can still be updated.

For products, memberships, and packages, coupons can be applied when the invoice is being paid.

To add or manage coupons go to Services > Coupons & Promos
A promotion is offered to clients in the form of coupons. After creating a promotion, you can generate coupon codes to share with existing customers and prospective clients.

Click on Add a promotion

When creating a new promotion, you can choose exactly how it works and what it applies to.

Start and End

You can set start and end dates to control when the promotion is active. If you leave either the start or end date blank, the promotion will have no enforced start or end date.

Set a limit on how many clients can use this promo

controls the total number of unique clients who can redeem the promotion. For example, if you want only 100 clients to be able to use the promo, set this value to 100.

Set a limit on how many coupons may be issued to one client

lets you control how many times an individual client can use a promotion.
For example, if you create 100 coupons and several are given to the same client, this setting prevents misuse. If you set the limit to 1, that client can redeem the promotion only once—no matter how many coupon codes they receive.

Maximum number of uses per coupon

controls how many times a single coupon can be redeemed. For example, you may limit each client to one coupon, but allow that coupon to be used for 10% off up to five visits.

Select the Services, Products, Memberships and Packages this promo will apply to.
There are two types of discounts: Dollar Amount ($) and Percent (%)

Dollar Amount ($) Discount

Booking appointments:

A $5 off coupon for dog walks.

You are Walking 2 dogs from the same household.

  • Setting: per appointment or invoice.
    •  Result: $5 off.
  • Setting: per service, pet, night.
    • Result: $10 off ($5 per pet).

Shopping Cart

A client can add Products, Packages and Memberships to a shopping cart and pay for them.

The Minimum shopping cart total ($) setting allows you to enforce a minimum spend before a coupon can be used.

Percent (%) Discount
Booking appointments:

Example:

10% off products and services for December 2025.

You are Pet Sitting (at $50 / night) for 10 nights starting on December 28.

Setting: per appointment or invoice.

Result: $50. 10% off total of $500. (When an appointment starts on a date the promo is valid, it doesn't matter when it ends).

Setting: per service, pet, night.

Result: $20. Per night: 10% off December 28, 29, 30th and 31st for a total of 4 nights. 10% off $200 is $20.

Percent (%) Promo Options

Apply to fees and discounts lets you decide whether a percentage-based discount should also apply to any special fees or existing discounts. This gives you control over whether the % discount is calculated on just the base service price or on the total including fees and adjustments.

Maximum Discount Amount ($) sets a dollar limit on a percentage based discount. Leave this field blank if you don't want to limit the discount amount.

Minimum shopping cart total ($ )sets the minimum amount a client must spend to qualify for a percentage-based discount. Leave this field blank if you don't want to require a minimum spend.

The last step of creating a Promo gives you a summary so you can look over it, make sure it makes sense.

You can create coupon codes to share with your clients.

Go to Services > Coupons & Promos and click on a promotion to view its setup details and configuration.

Scroll down to the Coupons section:
Click on the 'Add a coupon code' button.
In most cases, you'll create one coupon per promotion, but you can create multiple coupons for the same promotion if needed.

For example, you might run an ongoing promotion while limiting how many coupons are available for it.

Usage limits set at the promotion level always take priority and are enforced over any limits set at the coupon level.

Viewing a promo lets you work with coupon codes. Once you add a coupon code you can see how many redemptions there have been as well as Invalidate the code if you want to end it immediately.

You or a client can add and use this code during booking:

The coupon will be applied as follows: If a client has multiple coupons eligible for a service, only one coupon can be used at a time.

By default, the system will automatically apply the coupon that provides the highest savings, but you can manually change it to a different coupon or choose not to apply any.

Here's how an applied coupon looks when booking.

Here's how it looks to add and use a Coupon when paying for an Invoice.
Coupons without coupon codes

Assign promos directly to specific clients and forego issuing coupon codes.

Use promotions for loyalty rewards or temporary and ongoing discounts. You can assign a promotion directly to clients without needing to create coupon codes.

To assign to a client go to Services > Coupons & Promos, click on the promotion you want and scroll down to the Clients section.

You can click on the 'Assign to client' button and assign it to a specific client.

You'll see a list of assigned clients and which staff member did it.

You can change the number of uses available or end a specific client's assignment.

Consider the following when working with Coupons:

Coupons also apply to special client pricing, so don't assume every client is paying the regular price. Applying a discount on an already discounted rate can reduce your revenue more than expected.

Coupons cannot be applied to membership pricing for services.

Coupon stacking is not supported. Only one coupon can be applied to a service, quote, or invoice line item.

Promotions are applied to the pre-tax amount.

Cancelation fee are applied after promotion is applied. If the applicable cancelation fee is percentage-based (%), the discounted amount will affect the fee.
